It is
\nhereby announced that the Council at its 345^{th<\/sup> Meeting held on 14th<\/sup> – 16th<\/sup>
\nAugust, 2015 decided to amend the ICAI Website Guidelines, based on the
\nrecommendations of the Ethical Standards Board. The amendment has been carried
\nout between paras 6(ix) and (7) of the Website Guidelines, and is shown in bold
\nhereunder:-<\/p>\n}

\u201c6(ix) Nature of
\nassignments handled (to be displayable only on specific \u201cpull\u201d request). Names
\nof clients and fee charged cannot be given.<\/p>\n

Note: Disclosure of names
\nof clients and\/or fees charged, on the website is permissible only where it is
\nrequired by a regulator, whether or not constituted under a statute, in India
\nor outside India, provided that such disclosure is only to the extent of
\nrequirement of the regulator.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Where such disclosure of
\nnames of clients and\/or fees charged is made on the website, the member\/ firm
\nshall ensure that it is mentioned on the website [in italics], below such
\ndisclosure itself, that \u201cThis<\/em> disclosure is in terms of the
\nrequirement of [name of the regulator] having jurisdiction in [name of the
\ncountry\/ area where such regulator has jurisdiction] vide [Rule\/ Directive etc.
\nunder which the disclosure is required by the Regulator].<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\nChartered Accountants are not permitted to use logo with effect from 1st July,
